Greens Farms Academy

Greens Farms Academy is an independent day school located in Fairfield County whose scenic campus overlooks Long Island Sound. The campus itself is located on 42 acres of land formerly owned by the Vanderbilt’s, with a historic mansion serving as its centerpiece.
In 2004 our firm completed work on a series of garden courtyards as part of a significant expansion of the Lower School at the Academy. Due to the historic nature of the campus, it was important that the building materials and rich planting palette reflected an integration of the newer and older structures. Today these courtyards serve as outdoor classrooms and gathering spaces for the school community.
Our work for Greens Farms Academy was awarded the 2006 Merit Award from the Connecticut Chapter of the American Societies of Landscape Architects.
